The mychild.gov.au website provides information on different types of child care and how to access assistance with the cost of child care. You will also find links to other useful websites about children's health and wellbeing, parenting and family support .

Family Assistance Office

The Family Assistance Office administers the Child Care Benefit, the Child Care Rebate and Family Tax Benefit payments.  The Family Assistance Office can be contacted on 13 61 50 or by visiting any Centrelink or Medicare office.

Community Services

Community Services (formerly DoCS) is the leading NSW Government agency responsible for community services.  They work to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to build stronger families and communities.  In particular, they help those who are vulnerable and most in need.

National Childcare Accreditation Council

The National Childcare Accreditation Council is an incorporated association established in 1993 by the Commonwealth Government.  They make decisions about whether services should be accredited or not, and the period of accreditation.

Healthy Kids

Good food habits and daily physical activity – if your child has these, they're well on the way to a healthy life.  But achieving this isn't always so simple.  This website shows you how to do it and links you to many other sites on this important topic. 


Centrelink is an Australian Government statutory agency, delivering a range of Commonwealth services to the Australian community.  Their website has comprehensive information regarding these services.

Raising Children Network

The Raising Children Network provides information that can help parents with the day-to-day decisions of raising children, and looking after their own needs.


Kidsafe is dedicated to spreading the word to make Australia a safer place for children.  On the website you will find information about current news and events, fact sheets, resources and program information to help keep children safe.

Nutrition Australia

Nutrition Australia is a non-government, non-profit, community-based organisation that aims to promote the health and well-being of all Australians.  The wesbite has useful information for families regarding healthy eating including some yummy recipes.

Cancer Council

Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to the defeat of cancer.

Sids and Kids

SIDS and Kids are a not-for-profit organisation with a highly successful history in health promotion, bereavement support, advocacy and research.  SIDS and Kids is dedicated to saving babies and childrens lives through the elimination of sudden and unexpected infant deaths during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood, supporting bereaved families and funding research into stillbirth.
